Participation of H.E Ambassador Azzeddine FARHANE in the 25th MRC Council, 28th November 2018
During his participation to the 25th meeting of MRC council and the 23rd meeting of development partners consulative group, H.E Ambassador Azzeddine Farhane highlighted that the participation of Morocco , as the first African and Arab country joining MRC since 29th June 2017, stems from the foundations of the Kingdom’s foreign policy, based on fruitful cooperation and win-win partnership. This integrated approach aims at diversifying partners and accordingly embarking on an outstanding cooperation with MRC member States and its Development Partner Consultative Group -DGC. In the same vein of this policy, Morocco, which has signed the ASEAN treaty of Amity and cooperation with ASEAN in 2016, is keen to enhance its partnership with South East Asia countries, and become ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner -SDP- which is currently under consideration.

During this meeting, H.E Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the contribution of Morocco for strengthening cooperation in many areas for the sustainable developement of Mekong Basin.
During this meeting with H.E Ambassador Azzeddine Farhane, H.E CEO of MRC Pham Tuan Phan underlined the effort and strong level of commitment with its Development Partners in the field of sustainable development and management of the Mekong river basin.
