On March 24, 2023, The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Vietnam in collaboration with the International Francophone Institute- VNU (IFI), Institute for African and Middle East Studies (IAMES), Francophone University Agency (AUF), held the launching ceremony of the virtual tour of the Moroccan Gate (Ba Vi - Hanoi).
Attending the launching ceremony of the virtual tour of the Moroccan Gate, were representatives of Embassies in Hanoi, the Middle East - Africa Department- MOFA, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, BaVi District People’s Committee and a large number of interested people, international students of IFI, press agencies, media units.
In his speech, Mr. Jamale Chouaibi, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to Vietnam stated: “This historic work is a symbol of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Morocco and a reminder of the importance of preserving our shared history and memory.”
The Ambassador also hoped: “This historical site will not remain unknown, but become a pilgrimage site for both local and foreign visitors. The magnificent story behind it is worth knowing and sharing.”
The Morocco Gate virtual tour is designed as a unique multimedia audiovisual product, in which the advantages of digital technology are complemented by highly aesthetic cultural content, including music, images, text and dialogue in three languages Vietnamese - French - English. At the ceremony, after the activation ceremony of the virtual tour of the Moroccan Gate, the delegates experienced part of the virtual tour program of the Moroccan Gate which is the bridge that brings the historical and cultural relics closer to community, actively contribute to the process of preserving and promoting cultural values, turning cultural heritage into a product of tourism, socio-economic development and promoting the image of Morocco and Vietnam.
