Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam met with Director General of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, Ho Chi Minh City, 13 May 2022
Ho Chi Minh, 13 May 2022 - The Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco in Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Jamale Chouaibi and the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ho Chi Minh City H.E. Mr. Doan Huu Duc met with H.E. Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh, Director General of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, on the morning of 13 May 2022 to discuss a number of issues of mutual concern in an effort to advance the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

The Ambassador congratulated the effective and timely anti-epidemic work of the Vietnamese Government in general and the leaders of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, expressing his impression of the bustling and vibrant atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City following a long period of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to the parallels between Ho Chi Minh City (Viet Nam) and Casablanca (Morocco), Ambassador Mr. Jamale Chouaibi expressed a willingness to engage closely and in a variety of industries with Ho Chi Minh City, particularly in the economic, tourism, and port operations sectors.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh shared that Ho Chi Minh City will focus on developing the city's potential from 2022 to 2025, and he welcomed the projects mentioned by Ambassador Jamale Chouai, hoping that the two sides will soon develop the deployed project to implement bilateral cooperation programs to bring development and prosperity to both sides, as well as strengthen the relationship of trust and intimacy between Vietnam and Morocco.
